I have one coming with a 9 inch blade 2 inches wide and .310 thick it is exactly like the one Porkbelly has on the exchange right now.That will be my second horton.Next I am thnking of one of his blood edc's.Got quite a few other customs I am going to sell to fund future Horton knives.

Mike, this one is a 10.5 inch blade, about .310ish thick. You will love it!

Would a question on religion be too risky here....is that a taboo topic in the lounge?
 
just dont get butthurt when sombody says something u dont like becouse there are more cults out there than j makes knives

Why do people always turn religious when something "good" or "bad" happens......

Not sure why this is bothering me but last night my district partner and I caught a burglar and the home owner responds,"God is good". Innocent enough comment, but was it God that chased his ass through the woods, canal and tackled him to the ground and administered a 1 second burst of Freeze +P. (sorry, legal disclaimer;)) Not a thanks or a good job..... If that fucking piece of shit was struck down by a lightning bolt as he left the apartment......I would be leery. Oh yeah, he was already on probation for....drum roll.......can you guess HOME BURGLARY!!!

Respond to a drowned 9 month old a few weeks back.......the father is told that his child is "now someplace better" and "God has a plan"........NO, his child was dead in a bathtub. Better place would have been down stair watching fucking cartoons

When I was injured in Iraq, my family kept saying it was a miracle I didn't die.....Again, I say NAY, a MIRACLE would have been if that burning fucking hunk of metal passed through me and didn't get lodged in my groin and leave me a fucking gimp leg. THAT would have been a miracle, I was fortunate.

Why is it comforting to people that they believe they have no responsibility when "something" happens and that it is an Omnipotent being's "Grand Plan"

What happened to faith in ones brother, in people. In your own self worth.....

Well here is my 2 cents:
First religion has one purpose, it is to control people. Even in the bible Jesus spent alot of time going after the religious people. The bible will set u free not control u that is one reason the gov hates it and they embrace other religions because they dilute the bible and allow them control. In the end the only thing that really matters is weather you go to heaven or hell, most people are raised to think that they are in control and when they are left with no control they freak out and get scared. If my wife went to give birth and the baby got sick and was about to die there is nothing I can do but hope. Does that do any good? No not really, I can and will put hope in a not perfect doctor to fix him but that may not work. Most people have heard of God, they see Him as some kind of magic genie that will grant them wishes if they wish hard enough, it doesn’t work like that.
About the little kid that drowned in a bath tub, the only thing in the tub is a body with no soul, the soul lives on and I like to think the kid is in a better place. Jesus said suffer not the little ones to come unto me. Jesus loves the children. U have a job to do and u do it, God gives us the ability to handle anything that He allows into our lives. But to think u can do everything all on your own that is crazy and God allows us the freedom of choice unfortunately some people make choices that will hurt others, because we as a society have taken a less aggressive stance on punishing the criminal according to their crime we have allowed those peoples choices to rule over our rights. The burglar that you had to chase down wouldn’t have been so likely to steal AGAIN if we had removed his hands the first time, right?
Most people have no idea I go to church and give tithe and have a personal relationship with God unless they really look at my life and the way I live it. I’ve never been drunk, never had a beer even. When some people say o thank God he is so good and on and on and on they want you to think they are real spiritual. They have no idea u don’t really care. I have already typed too much and have shortened my answer so much I don’t think I answered anything but like I said the most important thing is where you are going to go when u die, heaven or hell, believe it or not it is really easy to know what the bible says about getting to heaven. You need to know three things and do one!

first you have to know you are a sinner the bible says
Romans 3:10 as it is written there is none righteous no not one
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of god

and next is sins penalty on you
Romans 5:12 wherefore as boy one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned
Romans 6:23a for the wages of sin is death

and next is sins payment to you
Romans 5:8 but god commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us
Romans 6:23b but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord
and now the one thing u must do to go to heaven
Romans 10; 13 for whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved
Romans 10; 9, 10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that god hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved
for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

U don’t have to give money and you don’t have to be “good”. Jesus said no one is good but god alone Jesus says it is a gift so u can’t work for it Jesus said it is eternal so u can lose it. Religion says u can lose it to try to keep control of you and purgatory is not even in the bible I think in the end a lot of people use what they think of as God to help them feel better about the poor choices and lack of control in their own lives.
To actually go into why people do some of these things you'd have to go into the whole phycology of why people are they are and I don't have the time or space to get into the bible study on that one! Most people don't think about whether or not their world view makes any sense, they just go with what they were programmed with. Which here in the US is Christianity (generally).
 
I hope I haven't missed much,, I make the knives and am the leader of the cult,, I didn't think u guys even had other thoughts,,
