Happened again.

In the last 4 years at work, I've been re-organized 5 times ... as of this morning.

A ridiculous substitute for progress. One of these days, this bureaucratic craziness is going to cause my head to explode.

Don't sweat it OP,,, what else are they going to do with their budget ? Something useful ?! ;)

So you too are caught up in a
vortex of ineptitude :D

The coal mine mountains of backwood West Virginia
are looking better all the time.

It's the same story no matter where you are. Brown nosers get promoted into a job they have no business being in and then have to justify their existence. :barf:

Jeremey glad you got a lot done but long days suck. The longer I work where I do the more I admire guy's like you who have their own business and are their own boss. O.P. I am right there with you tired of the brown noses and good ole boy network. The harder you work for them the less your appreciated!

Mike

Rick how did you shoot today? Hoping you broke the record!!!!!

Mike

It was raining cats-and-dogs, so we held off on that course of fire. We did a bunch of other stuff including "the jungle". "the jungle" has pop up targets from 50 to 300 yds. You shoot 20 standing in a foxhole, 10 prone, and 10 kneeling. To back up a little, when I first got to this class, the instructors said that SBRs were worthless. One even laughed saying, "11.5" barrel?!? on a rifle?!? hahaha". They had to eat a shit sandwich after seeing how well it performed on the CQB drills. Then I heard, "SBRs are only good for CQB, not distance shooting. You're going to have trouble on "the jungle"". I shot 38 of 40 on "the jungle" qualifying at "expert". Guess who wasn't laughing anymore. :D

In this case, the inspiration was a young man who genuinely felt he should be doing more important things. Sadly, he didn't pay sufficient attention to the more "boring," yet arguably more important, parts of the existing mission.

The result? Yet another re-arrangement of deck chairs.

I'll do my best to do good work. But this sort of thing ... it really doesn't help.:(

I haven't given up. At least not yet.

Nah, You are way above all that my friend - Always have been and always will be. I would bet you are an excellent chess player too ;)

Just keep looking beyond :D Like you do

Old Physics, hold on!
It seems to me, it's the same all around the world. Idiots get promoted and people who undestand their work and do it right stay on the lower positions - 'cause someone has to do the work and the promoting idiots don't know how to...
Anyway, giving up is not an option
