Rut, nice ESR. Illinois legal, but people stare at you like an axe murderer when you use it. Our family was at an apple orchard, a couple weeks ago, with friends and they couldn't open a taffy apple package. When they passed the package to me to open it I took out my ESR and zipped it open. They asked me why I carry such a big knife (2.5" blade). Before I could answer with the obvious answer my daughter said "That isn't a big knife. You should see some of his Hortons."

Thats right, lol. :D:D

Buscraft Illinois legal and they are wide eye at a 2 1/2 inch blade....lol I carry a coldsteel Gunsite folder with a 5 inch blade everywhere with me. I always have to look up other states knife laws when traveling because I never think twice when i throw a knife in my pocket. I think the smallest pocket knife I carry is a Spyderco endura. at least that is what I carry till J makes a folder with a 4 or 5 inch blade.can you say tactical folder with a platinum convex edge ol hell yea!!!

Kurt, I've had the knives are just tools with them a few times. They are surprised that even 60 years ago every kid (boys) would have a pocket knife on them by the age of 10 (even at school).

Mike, in most of Illinois at legal length is less than 3" and in Chicago it is 2.5". The law inspired my first and one of my favorite Hortons.

OMG! I always get sad when I read something like this. Tell them that even now, there are still countries where children carry knives to school - and they have no classroom killings there  I got my first 3" folder at 8, carried it to school, carved little boats from pine bark with it... and didn't kill anyone! We used (and do so until today) the knives to make things, not to attack and stab our schoolmates, we didn't even get such a f***ed-up idea... :grumpy: I even don't remember cutting myself by an accident...

Now I've grown up, so I'm switching from folders to fixed blades :D

Morning, gentlemen!
I don't remember my today's dream, but it must have been a nice one since I didn't want to get up...
