Hey Kurt I am thinking of trying my fatty camp blood to totally process a deer out. The only other tool I will use is a butt out 2. I generaly use a Knives of Alaska wolverine hunter and a bone saw to process. Once I get it all quartered up I use a filet knife and boning knife to get them in dinner size portions.

Hey Mike - Which one of those do you use to skin it?
 
Bear I use the wolverine hunter to skin them with. I have been hunting for 31 years and have used every type of knife to gut and skin deer. From Case pocket knives to a 10 inch camp knife just to prove to myself I could do it in a survival situation.

LOL - I used a Camillus Boy Scout knife exclusively on my first deer :eek::D Had to knaw a place or two but it worked
 
LMAO I know what you mean a case trapper is not the best tool to gut and skin a deer with. You really have to watch out for them closing on your fingers.

Anyone here familiar with Fitz knives? This is supposed to be one of his early pieces. Ive tried to contact him but no luck.

There's nothing about being too nice. Keep doing the good deeds. It's just a test of your resilience. Always expect to over-deliver but never expect to receive anything.
