Here is a skinner that I just finished up. CM154 blade mirror polished with nickel silver bolster. I had a lot of fun making this one. Let me know what you think.

Ah, very good question. I picked the wood out of some material I had left over from other jobs. Embarrassed to say that I am not sure what type of wood it is. Any guesses? It sure finished up well.
