Figuring most of us will never actually meet because we are scattered all over the country or even the world to that fact, wouldn't it be nice to put a face with your posts! You can even add a pic of your latest knife and your signature! I have been doing it for about a week now with my posts! All you need to do is make your pic and stick it out there on the internet some where, then place it here. Course maybe you all are tired of seeing my ugly mug!

Mark, that's a nice picture of yourself and your knife, but IMHO this is a stunningly bad idea. I don't think you're ugly, but I'm tired of your signature now. Not as annoying as the lineup of Smiley faces but close. I don't mean to hurt your feelings, but you asked.

One other thing to think of, loading the picture everytime someone reads your posts takes up a good deal more bandwidth than simple text.

I think it's a great idea. I don't have a picture of me or my knife right now, but using a *.gif won't eat that much bandwidth. Besides, don't all of you have a T-1 like me?

Just to offer an alternative, if Mike and Spark wanted to put up a Gallery page for members that wanted to post their mug shots I think that would be fine. I come here to talk about and see pictures of KNIVES, not guys, but if it's posted in signatures you just can't avoid them. As for me I see enough of my mug shot every time I go to the Post Office, I sure don't want to put it up here.

Thanks, you know you are right PhilL, I agree about getting tired of seeing the same pic and smileys. I guess I am starting already to dislike my pic anyways, it sure doesn't grow on you!

Kkimo, never gave that a thought, but yeap, it's got to take up too much bandwidth, especially if everyone starts doing this!

Like my signature: "Knife Collectors Are Sharp People" well, not all the time I guess!

P.S. oops, sorry, didn't intend on sticking a smiley under my name, habit I guess!

I have T1 connection here a work too, but with so many others here on the same server, it still is slow at many times, especially afternoons and on Thursdays for some reason.

Thank you too Elvislives! At first I thought it was a good idea, but these guys are right! Maybe a gallery is the right way to go here, but that's Sparks' call of course, don't want Spark ticked at me again for making that suggestion! Suggestions have been bad lately from me, is there a full moon out? Or do I just have dreaded Bladeitis that's going around?
