Co-Worker in need of camp knife advice.

Lets see, a camp tool for chopping and splitting wood? I think you can get a good hatchet at Home Depot for around $20. It may not be as "cool" or as "fun" as a knife, but I'm pretty sure a hatchet just might work for chopping and splitting firewood. ;)

Nothing says camp chopper like a BK2 or maybe a BK16 if the BK2 is a little on the large size for him.

I vote Fallkniven A1 for a larger outdoors knife (6 1/2")---if a still larger knife is needed, their A2 model is recommended. Real chopping should be done with an axe!

I'd recommend the Spyderco Temperance 2. It is designed from the ground up to be a camp knife. Still, you can't go wrong with an ESEE, Fallkniven, or Mora...
