Buck Coalite model #422CL, Cat. #1078.

The lettering styles of the box and mug look the same to me DM. I assume that they are both from the same period.

Thank you for looking.

Pretty cool! Never saw one of those before.

Did they make BudLites also back then?:D
Would think it could have been a great marketing deal.

Awfully clever of Buck with the name, COALITE. Too cool. It appears new to me. Never seen the like.

Funny you should ask about that. email inbound

Thats cool oregon, never saw one before(ore heard of it)

ITE started it. His beating the bushes to see what lept out put the spurs to me. It is entirely possible that all manner of BUCKLITE, coalite, booklite, headlite, taillite, litelite, leadlite and such are out there in sheaths, pockets, drawers, cigar boxes and the like. Armand has been getting kicks many may never know.

LOL

Funny but I would pay money for that.

True story: Late last night, in the dark and cold, I was using a pinch light with a GITD feature, Photon Rex, when I turned it off and dropped it. Picked it up right away as it was still glowing so it was easy to spot. I would have stepped on it during the night had I not located it. Wife slept right thru it.

Sure, they could use the stuff they make the glow in the dark trunk release handles from.

Yes, thats the box I was meaning in my earlier post that the lettering on the mug came from . It should be a one piece yellow box . DM

Oregon, nice pics... you could post them on the SPS.... The Bucklite/Coalite is a cool knife... I have a few of them and my Daughter has a extra 422 Coalite blade that I'm trying to get from her... It would look Great in my Collection of Bucklites or Blades... ITE ...

E, thanks . I have one just like yours w/o the blade lettering and was wondering when the 2nd generation Buck lites came out . Based on the catalogs I have (and missing) it had to be 1988 . Any one else finding a different date ? DM
