Coated Blade "camo" Appearance

Received an M9 today, and after cleaning it up, I realized that the blade had a sort of Camo look to it. The blade is originally coated black, but there are random streaks where the coating is slightly lighter than the rest of the blade. I have talked to some others with M9's and some of those knives have it as well. All are Lan-Cay's so far. Does anyone know something about the blade coating process that could have caused this "camo" look? I'm almost positive it wasn't intended, but does look kinda cool. Thanks

Some time ago, I was talking to a knife seller who said that he loves camo knives because they boost replacement sales. Even if you have a general idea of where you dropped your knife, if it's camo and you dropped it in some grass or leaves or something, good luck finding it.

Sorry to go OT here, but...
Some things just plain shouldn't be camo...
Like wallets and mini flashlights and knives and thermos'...
I took off my camo hat one hot day while fishing. I put it on the rock behind me. 1 single flippin leaf fell on the hat and I looked for it for a half hour!

The purpose of camo is to break up your outline, so the deer hunters can't be sure you're there, or maybe -- was that an antler -- I know I saw something move! -- BAM !!!

As bad as small camo gear is to find in the woods, black isn't much better, and green is obscene. But I just can't get myself to go around with an orange wallet. Maybe glowrings ...
