Coated blades?

Generally I am not a fan of coated blades, but it’s pretty hard to deny that the Les George VECP in FDE is a great looking knife! Admittedly, I don’t use it much so I can’t comment on the toughness of the coating.

Depends . Is the coating type and quality consistent with the way the knife will be used ? Is appearance or function most important ?

I have some coated blades that seem functional and appropriate , others that are very annoying and worse than useless .

Dlc from a company like Spyderco or zt will last a very long time under a lot of use.
