Ok I have seen some pretty good knives lately that are coated colers ranging from green, brown, olive and black. As well as powder coating and a rough look in black. My question is what do you use? Where do you buy it? and how dificult is it to do?

I am interested in basic coating on one knife in particular, and have another I when I make it I am going to have done by someone on this board who does good patterns on the whole knife. (I believe his ID here is 308Sniper his web site is http://uparmored.tripod.com/index.html ) I would like however to learn the basic one color coating for future knives so any help is good help

I use Gun-Kote. It is applied with an airbrush, so patters are easy. It comes in a bunch of colors and you can get subtle changes of color by raising the cure temp. It is a thin coating.
