Yeah.... I never understood Why blades are coated? So I got one of the knives with a midnight blue crinkle coat and literally used it once and the coatings like come off in that spot (spine near tip) wondering if I should just strip it down and how and if I do strip it will Infi take a patina?
Well I’m gonna have to mirror polish it or patina it I live in the literal swamps but I was mainly wondering how anyone gets the handles off….I have the tubesYeah.... I never understood Why blades are coated?
Fashion statement..... and a way for businesses to trick people into thinking a "collection of Purdy colored blades is valuable"
Users are scratched up looking or stripped .....
wall-hangers can be Any color You want.
That's your choice what you use your blades for.
btw..... idk what infi looks like Bare. Mine are all "scratched up"
unless you have tube forming dies, or a way to reinstall them...?Well I’m gonna have to mirror polish it or patina it I live in the literal swamps but I was mainly wondering how anyone gets the handles off….I have the tubes
I only get CF blades, coated look pretty bad once you start using them.So I got one of the knives with a midnight blue crinkle coat and literally used it once and the coatings like come off in that spot (spine near tip) wondering if I should just strip it down and how and if I do strip it will Infi take a patina?
that happened to my tgulb, the coating on the back of the tip chipped off stabbing it into cardboardI figure I’ll beat the hell out of my coating then strip it although using it more today it seems the only fragile spot was on the back of the tip it just kinda flaked off and it hasn’t grown and not even batoning bothered the rest of the coating so I’ll try my luck
Not sure if this is the correct spot but this so aptly named: so sick
I really don't know lol, but we'll go with it. The long one is a Jackhammer 10 with black G10 scales. The short is a Mega Ratmandu with black Micarta scales. I think the cerakote is called Fractal Camo. Hope this helped. Not sure if this is the correct spot but this so aptly named: so sick
Whats this coating called? And the blades?
Two fantastic blades with beautiful Cerakote coating... Not sure that Citristrip will that that off tho.I really don't know lol, but we'll go with it.
