Hi Jeff,

I've just purchased a Cocobola Woodsman. Man! It's so gorgeous that I would say it's a piece of art! I just have a couple of questions about this beauty, though. First, how should I clean the brass butt and thumb guard? I mean, if I use the regular brass cleanser will it damage the wooden handle? Second, are the spacers made of wood as well? Also, are there any particular things that I need to know regarding its regular maintenance? I just wanna keep it in an excellent condition at all times, that's all. Thanks for your time.

Monty,
I've never tried the brass polish on the wood, but I would think that if one were careful, it would be no problem. I use a little flitz or the wadding polinh stuff (I can't remember the name off the top of my head.
I probably would not douse the handle with polish, but it should be ok with any normal polish.
The shop would buff with a cotton wheel and some light abrasive compound.
The spacers are made of micarta and as such should not be affected.
I hope this helps.

Jeff
