I think this is ok to post here, so here I go. This is a cocobolo handled fire steel I made. The cocobolo has both heartwood and sapwood. It was hand made on a lathe and finished with several coats of gloss lacquer. The rod is 3/8" diameter and about 3 1/2" long. The lanyard tube is brass and the para cord lanyard stays on it.
