Ray....that is some rather light and highly figured cocbolo....good stuff! Hey Doc......you are an impulse buyer just like me......lol. keep your eyes open around the first of the year for my first knife posts...:D

Joe,
You're in St. Pete. I'm always looking for an excuse to visit an old GF there. New knives to pick up could constitute an excuse. :-)

Doctor you love Ray's work, maybe you should have a knife buy, sell and trade show and allow some BF boys over there for a look....you put them all in a safe or just 6 big mean dogs guarding them all. :)

Ray, The knife came today. It's really nicer than some of your other knives as a practical matter. It will make a great EDC or maybe a last minute Christmas gift. In any case it feels very nice in hand.
Thanks

Ray and Dr. D and all your family members, Wishing them all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year from Canada :)

Cheers to seeing the new knives in 2007

SpearZ,
Merry Christmas to you and all.
Maybe one day I'll post some pics of my stash. I tried to say how may I have presently but it sounded too...well, like braggin'. So I'll just say I have American kinfe makers well represented.

Ray,
There are too many to post on this bandwidth.:-)
The standing joke among my friends is "What did you find under your bed today?"

There is a joke about YOU might be a gun nut if...and one of the answers is :If your first Christmas card is from a gun shop. Well my first 3 were from gunshops. Knives is only a seconday addiction.

Ray,
Thats my favorite you have made buddy. Nice work :)

Since joining BF I have gone nuts buying knives, all being American knife makers.

I don't buy the most expensive knives out there and I don't want too. For the money I paid I am very happy with them and I hope the knife maker's are happy also doing business with me. It also lets me spread the purchases around to several knife makers supporting there work.

All are superior knives and sheaths, it is interesting to see the designs from the various maker's and feeling the difference in the knives. I hope I am a good neighbor to all of you from Canada. I think I started about mid 2006 here at BF and have really enjoyed it.

It is my thinking if people would buy custom made sheath knives like I have received this year they wouldn't even think of buying a production knife.

I am sure Dr. D list would be 100 times longer than mine, Cheers!

Two favorite woods: Kamagong (Ironwood) and Cocobolo! Beautiful job sir! I simply love the wood native to the Philippines.

DR D, let me know when ya want to make the trip west to ST. Pete. lived there for 19 years with a couple of old friends to look up as well. lets bring some steel.
