Putting a cocobolo handle on a knife and am having trouble filing the grain. What do you folks use?? Does super glue really work? What brand should I try?
Thanks TJ Smith

Thanks Darrel
I'LL keep that recipie for a future handle.
I hand finish all my handles so theres not to much chance of them getting to hot.
It looks like super glue might be working.

Cocobolo will shrink if you get it hot. SO BE CAREFULL.
Use thin super glue or if you wnat the old gunsmith natural way use linseed oil and turpentine mixed 50-50 . Soak it for a week or so. Take it out and let it set for a few days to dry. Then take bees wax and linseed oil and melt them together at a low temp .Dip the handles in this goop a few time let it dry wipe off and damn your done. :]
