Codger, are you ok?

Cal, He is o.k. mate. Very little access to a computer and been spending valuable time at Hospital etc with his very sick mother.
Told him our thoughts are with him...he's chomping at the bit to get back here however you only get one Mom in life.....Hoo Roo
 
Thanks guys. It has been a hard few weeks. I've actually lost track of the time I've been here. Mom is 82 years old and a fighter. She is terminal, but refuses to let go. Every time she goes down for the count, she rallys. But each time a little less. I'll make a post in community when it is over. Again, thanks for your concern. Prayers are welcome and appreciated.

Meanwhile, I do have an "iffy" wireless connection here in the Annex guest room, so I will continue reading more than posting for a bit.

Michael you and your family have my prayers for strength and understanding at this time. I lost my mom when I was 9, I still miss her. That was 57 years ago. Just cherrish every moment God gives you. We miss your presence on here, but totally understand.

It's been seven years since she died, but my Mom is still right there with me. They gave us life.

Michael, i suggest humbly that your mother might need to hear from you that it is o.k. to leave. perhaps you have already told her so.
the stage of just 'hanging on' is the most difficult time for family members.
i'm sure you have the strength needed to be present for your mother and tend to your own needs.

God Bless Michael. Lost my uncle who was like my father to me the Sun. after Thansksgiving. Lost my own dad in '81. Hope everything goes well with your Mom.
