I am looking for a codura sheath for my Project II. I want one that is similar to the Gerber BMF sheath or one like the Eagle Industries Sheath. I have contacted Eagle and Blackhawk and niether is able to make one that will fit this knife. Does anyone know of a place that can make one just like the "Deluxe Knife Sheath" from Eagle??? I am very interested if so. Thanks.

kevin,

been looking for one for my kathathu 7.5 forever. i posted a little while back about the subject when tombstone kicked off the thread. no dice. tombstone has a p1. I contacted eagle and blackhawk directly. eagle uses a custom formed insert and the blackhawk sheath is too short. both companies will not make a generic 7.5" sheath at this time. i looked at both these companies because they both use an insert for added rigidity, and i'm guessing that's why you looked at them also. no luck at all with them for a 7.5" sheath.

i did contact blade tech during this time and they seem to have a good kydex solution. i'm not sure if i want to go with this though. i was looking forward to the nylon. however, it seems to be the only option available for now. there was a post on the forums this week about blade-tech's workmanship in the custom knife forums, and the person i spoke to at blade-tech was extremely knowledgeable about making a pretty good piece of eq. he also suggested that i could get just a formed insert and have the webbing stitched around it. i'm weighing this option also, but either way, I have to do something because the double -edge on my knife is not right for the sheath. one edge will always draw up against the nylon retention stud.

tell me if you find anything out there. i looked for months and came up with blanks on pre-made eq, except for a pre-made kydex/webbed jump sheath that sells on us cav (i think) that'll take up to 7.5" blades. thinking of getting that one for a trial.

hope this helps.

The best aftermarket option for great synthetic sheathing is Eric aka-Normark at On/Scene Tactical.I tried all the different one size fits all nylon and codura sheaths over the years from "Quality Manufacturers" of Military type gear.In one word they all SUCK!!The knife rattles around, the sheath materials are cheap or too thin, straps that do not hold the handle secure, weak looking stitching etc.and overall the sheaths are crap.
The Concealex sheaths from On/Scene Tactical are the BEST,hands down.I now have concealex sheaths for my CRK Moutaineer II and my Project-1.These sheaths are just amazing fit, finish, quality and every which way.The pictures don't do them justice and you kinda just have to see one first hand to appreciate the quality. To top it off,the prices are very reasonable and Eric is very knowledgable about sheaths.Take Care,Ralph

Contact Special Operations Equipment They make the best vests, LBE, etc. gear on the market. They could make you a custom rig.

Strider knives are fitted with SOE rigs. SOE makes TOP quality stuff, so expect a price reflecting that, as well as a wait time.
