Buyer beware of Cofadon...YouTube handle Ekserchina..

Sent him a $80 knife to be pimped and $125 paypal on 4/25/12...

Over 20 calls, emails, YT messages, three messages left for his mom all unanswered.

Got to assume he has just turned from craftsman to petty crook.....

This is weird, Ive dealt with the guy before and he seemed on the level. Never completed a trade but still. Hope he responds soon.

Yeah, it sucks because he is no doubt a gifted artisan,...and from his YT vids comes across as a likable guy I could hang out with.

I get the sense that he gets into a hobby,..cigar box guitars,...custom knife handles...now pistol grips...and walks away.

I am somewhat conflicted as I hate having to write up these type of emails...

but I have run out of options and it is what it is.
 
OK this just gets even more bizarre. So Cofadon posts a picture of my knife on his Instagram page with the caption....get this,

"My First Strider Blade Ever and probably the last. They're great but they are overrated. I like my ZT0302 better. Just Saying ".

FTW,...where do I start...I guess it's good to get visual confirmation the knife wasn't sold for a quarter bag...Interesting that a service provider would refer to a customers knife in the possessive sense...and you didnt "just get it", you've had it over 7 months...Agree with Cofadon on the ZT being a great knife btw <g>...And I guess it's good that he doesnt think much of it...as maybe I will see it again someday ???? JUST SAYING

Sort of feel like PeeWee Herman in the Big Adventure when his beloved bicycle is stolen in broad daylight and the scene with everyone joyfully riding their bicycles all around him just rubbing in the anguish...lol

Didnt know if posting a link to the instagram post was within BF protocol...so I refrained...and took a screenshot picture in case he takes it down.

Still no contact btw....
 
Sounds like he's planning on keeping it man. Saying "it's probably my last" implies possession. My guess is that he's decided to keep your knife and ignore you. Despicable.
 
He hasn't logged on to the site for almost 3 months and hasn't yet responded to Karda's invitation to tell his side of the story in this thread. Hopefully he'll do the right thing.
 
He hasn't posted a video on YouTube since April. Just about the time he decided to take the knife & money. Looks real suspy on his part.
Pisses me off! & its not even my knife/money. I never like wishing harm on anyone but I hope your strider takes a nasty bite on one of his digits!!

What a complete rusty tool bag!!
 
Just a quick update that Cofadon contacted me last week with a heart felt and genuine apology. Life had gotten in the way and he was simply unable to do the job. He mailed me back everything including the knife and commission in total...so I am whole...PLUS, he went further for my troubles and sent him a hella fine pimped orange scale Boker SubClaw with a cool orange and black lanyard,...a two toned G10 ring..and another multi cam lanyard. Cofadon if you are out there,...you went out of your way and beyond to make things right with me,..I give you kudos for manning up and have no hard feelings toward you. In fact, I hope you can forgive me for acting a bit like a douche and pounding the table so hard,...Glad things got worked out for all parties.
 
Glad it worked out as well, but in my opinion the seven months of ignoring you shows his original intent. I would not of said sorry, you have nothing to be sorry for. maybe his conscience finally caught up to him.
