here is one i just finnished about 5 minutes ago 10.5 inch 5160 blade cocobolo handle iron hardware. i will try to get better pics tommorow.

Is the ferrule collared onto the handle or is the handle butted up against it?

The ferrule is collared what a bugger the cocobolo does not carve real well. I was wondering greg what do you think should i have made the blade thicker spine to edge? it looked fine to me until i put the handle on and then it looked to thin. But on the plus side this baby will cut i cut five full water bottles in one horizontal cut that so far is my record i think i nailed the perfect heat treat finally.

It looks correct to me ...I like the thinner bladed 'pig sticker' type bowies. More pleasing to the eye. Very nice. Maybe blackening the iron guard would be a nice accent to the cocobolo handle, however. How would one go about blackening something like that?

i think that maybe another 1/4 in would have filled the blade out a bit better and then with a longer clip. the knife looks great though

what matters most is how it feels and how it cuts. damn fine job if you ask me
