Cohea Dag

Looking good Ray and John the work you two do goes very well together. ray I hope you will have them at the OKCA show so I can get my hands on them.

Looks like a WIN WIN situation for both!

What Paul said....NICE knives and NICE sheaths to go with them.

That dagger is VERY cool. The overall shape and fittings look great.

Ray,
That is one really nice example of your work! You make some really interesting large blades, but that one really floats my boat! Really dig the motif, and as someone said, very much a "historical" piece! Would love to see what you guys come up with in terms of the sheath...

John,
Don't belive we've met, but your work does Ray's blades some real justice, and vice-versa, your work is really in line with what Ray does... Great team!

Any of these going to be at the Eugene show?

I'll only be there Saturday, but I'd love to see them! :D

Thanks Joe! Ray will have several pieces in Eugene that feature my leather. Make sure you check out the warclub, it's too cool:cool:oh yeah, bring your checkbook;)BTW, Ray will also have copies of my video "Basic Rawhide Sheath Construction"available as well:thumbup::thumbup:

That is fantastic Ray!!!

I've always loved Ray's work and John's work with the period sheaths is always outstanding. I'm a big fan of both and can't wait to see the completed package on this set.

john....u have your dvd out???.....if so either please make a thread here announcing how much and where to get it....or please email me....rhurley9 at optonline.net .....thanks....ryan

p.s.-wicked blade and a wicked sheath!

Hey Ray, I will show up and mow your lawn and pull some weeds if thats the way you pay.
Unbelievable forging and a great overall package.

-Mike

Hey Mike, Do you eradicate blackberries? I've got about an acre woods that has been over run by those thorny devils. I'll take care of the lawn. Let's make a deal. :D

In all seriousness I appreciate the comments on this huge dag! I was hoping John didn't want it so I could add it to my personal collection. Thoughts of doing another one keep entering my mind and now is the best time to do it while I still remember how I did it.

how about a little one?;)

I've got John's Dag ready to mail off today. Anyway John's project got me wanting to try another one along the same lines but a slimmed down version. Some of you may have already seen this photo but in case you haven't here it is. Slimmed down version has a 16 1/2" blade and is 22" overall.

Wow Ray I think I am looking at the winner of the hand forged at OKCA show good luck,

I gonna say this just once....O. K. maybe I'll harp on it. YOU 2 NEED TO COLLABORATE MORE OFTEN!!!! Your styles could not be more perfect and complimenting of each others. I'm sure John is going to come up with a great sheath for that beautifully forged dagger.

Post pics of the finished sheath and dagger....please do John

Making a sheath for it is on my list of things to do while I'm home Ray, but I have about ten customer's sheaths, as well as knives and hawks, ahead of it. Gotta do what put's cash in the pockets first:D
