  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

COHUTTA PICS

I believe Russell is taking a break from making knives as his market slowed down dramatically. I'm hoping he'll get back into it soon though. I miss seeing all his beautiful work.

That's a shame, he's one of the more talented makers out there. Super clean work with beautiful lines.

Any idea if the market shift was due to the Instagram crack down?

I’m still around and will continue making a few here and there.

Several things led to the change in pace. The market was a major factor. I’ve seen ups and downs in the market, but never a complete stop like last summer. After 6ish years of standing at a grinder all day, my neck was giving me fits as well.

I’m currently working with a local outfitter guiding fly fishing trips in the area, but plan on getting back in the shop later in the summer once it slows down a bit.

I have no intentions of ever getting out of the knife making game, but the slow down was much needed. Couldn’t have made it happen without all the support from you guys and it’s much appreciated
