Just finished this one in hunter orange G10. Blade is Made from a piece of coil spring. Figured the orange would be fitting since it is the hunting season. now I just need to bite the bullet and buy some leather to make sheaths. Anyone know of a good place? Tandy leather is just 45 minutes south of my house but I've heard conflicting stories about their prices. Thanks for looking. :0)

I've had really good luck with Tandy, but honestly the best thing to do is to call them and ask them if they have any deals on their stock. Their website isn't the greatest but the people working there have always been very nice.

Thanks!! And thanks for the info on the leather ill Definitely check that place out. I'm ready to try to sell some of my creations and sheath really is a great selling point. Thanks again.

Try www.springfieldleather.com. I got a big piece of 9/10 oz. Hermann oak from them for a good price a while back- you can order full sides or leather by the square foot. Good folks to deal with, too.

This site was exactly what I was looking for, Thanks a bunch!! I have made one sheath before but the leather was given to me and I didn't know the weight of it. Would 8-9 oz work well or should I get 9-10 oz? And would the kidskin work well as a liner? By the way a rawhide dog bone from the pet store is great for the welt of the sheath. Buy it, soak it in water over night, unroll it, then lay something heavy and flat on it and let it dry. Thanks for all the great info folks. :0)
