Does anyone know if coincidence range finders used for ranging artillery and machineguns are still in use today or have been completely replaced by laser? Are there any advantages to the old range finders over the laser? The only thing I can think of is no detectable beam. They were actually installed on the Leapord I tank (60-70?). The range finder looks like a rocket launcher.
