Cold and Wet

With the winter mix coming down outside right now, I just want to take a moment to remind everyone to stay warm and dry. It is one thing to be cold, it is another to be wet and it is a serious problem if you are both cold and wet at the same time. In this condition, you are likely to suffer and possibly die. Time spent in the woods seems to last forever. Take precautions.

I just finished a winter shelter yesterday which will be the subject of an upcoming tutorial and I had no trouble staying dry and warm since it was straight cold. Now, it is raining, snowy and windy. These conditions might be my least favorite to camp in other than cold with no snow.

Again, stay dry and warm and enjoy your time in the outdoors!
