I bought a ZT 0452 today. I had wanted one a while, but just didn't feel like spending the money. I bought it finally, and it is great, just like every other ZT I have ever had, but ultimately, it is a lightweight pocket knife, and I cannot say it does the job better than my Delica, Native 5, or Mini AK47. I intend to keep it though because it is a good knife at a great size, and keeping it will be a reminder to think twice next time. Seriously, it is a great knife, I am just turning into a cheap, older man.

I can also mention a Kershaw Leek with a S30v Random Task style blade that also is very similar in size, weight, and blade quality to my 0452. I guess $100 may be my sweet spot these days.

A while back, I picked up a Spyderco UKPK. It has been my daily carry ever since. Sometimes I toss my Victorinox red alox Farmer in another pocket.

I've been too crippled to go anywhere for the past 4 years, so these smaller, lighter weight knives do fine.

I hope things get better for you. My knee has troubled me lately. I guess what we need and want just changes over time. I like expensive knives, I just don't think I like them enough anymore to keep buying them.

A day later, I have calmed down a bit. Still, having a Zero Tolerance this small does seem a bit weird, but the 0450 is obviously a rock solid little knife that is going be in my pocket rotation for a very long time.

You're not cheap, just wise. :D I've still not pulled the trigger on a ZT, though I've considered it numerous times. Lol.

I love the craftsmanship that goes into higher end knives, but there are so many nice knives with highend steel at lower prices, it is easy to buy quality while keeping a whole lot of money in your pocket.

Both of your choices are erudite and thoughtful Esav.

I've immensely enjoyed the evolution of the ZT brand ever since a prototype of the 440 was kindly shown to me at Kershaw. I've studied every model since. These four are the ones I own.

Here is my ZT brand collection, all collaborations. Your compact folder, Anthony, the 450 is front.

The first ZT, assisted 440. Then came the 561 flipper. And, finally today, the 452 CF.

There are lots of cold days every winter in Hell. Hell, Illinois, that is. It even freezes over there. :)

I really like the way you photographed your ZTs.
