god i havent seen a winter like that in oklahoma in many many many years...all we get now is ice....or sleet.....darn oklahoma

These were taken last winter while climbing in New Hampshire's White Mountains. The winds were around the 100mph(yes miles) range.

It's around 75-85 degrees here too. I love hiking in the winter. Hopefully I get to go camping this year too.

That is a DN class ice boat. You can go about 4x the speed of the wind.

Best of both worlds. I live at low altitude where it doesn't snow (no dirveway to plow!), yet in 30 minutes I can be in the mountains and ripping around on my 4wd quad in the snow.

We are going into summer in the northern slopes of the African Highveld, its 77 F here today.
