Cold rolled steel

Is cold rolled annealed 1095 OK to use for knifemaking (stock removal only)? I heard someone say that it warped more than hot rolled during heat treat, is this true?

if it's 1095 it's good.

normalize it and you'll be fine

Just to be sure: normalize before grinding?

I wouldn't do it before, but probobly twice after before I heat treat(but then I do that anyway)
