I bent the clip out with a screwdriver and it's been much nicer to carry! I've been going over the catalog and picking out some fixed blade knives. The older Voyagers are plenty strong and I do believe I prefer the VG-1 steel over the Tri-Ad lock and I say this because the older knives just fit me a bit better. I have been carrying the 5.5-inch Vaquero 2011 Voyager and I can barely tell it's on me; however, when I compare the weight and size of the 6-inch Vaquero "Old" Voyager with the new XL version, I have to say the half inch makes a pretty big difference. Especially if one grasps it from the very back. And the serrations would scare the living daylights out of any sane person!
But I love the series. I just wish the new series would give us the VG-1. Apparently the only way you're going to get VG-1 from now on is if you get their San Mai.
