Since they are almost identical can the older Japan Models have their Kraton replaced? That is the the only problem I have run up against, the Kraton being damaged/worn or that weird sticky feeling. I remember back in the old days they would do it on a regular Tanto for $50.
I'm not worried about the new CS remakes devaluing my originals, not in the least. There will never be a C-V (so-called carbon 5) steel remake. Not that it COULDNT be done, but it would be difficult and pricey and ain't gonna happen by any USA maker.
