I have one of the early hollow ground ones and echo every positive thing written above. It will never leave my collection, and I could see adding another in the future as well.

You might like the Ultimate Hunter. Similar size and blade shape, but lighter. Very well made. Strong.I had one of the early hollow ground ones as well. Awesome in hand, but too big and heavy in pocket. If they made a slim lighter weight version with 1/8 inch stock I’d be all over it.
Would it be safe to assume any new knife at dealers now would be flat ground?
Don't have one but I can tell you it is not 4". That's the only thing about the knife you mentioned so I'd think it important to get it right. I likely would get one if it was more than 3.5". That just seems like a too little blade for the foot print of the knife for my preferences. I bought the AD15 as an alternative. A very well made knife and a perfect size but the scorpion lock was a bit too funky for me.I've only seen on this knife is one or two promotions, but not in the flesh. I like four inch folders for weekend work, but I don't know much about this folder. What's your opinion?
Yup.Edit: also, it's 3.5", not 4", if that makes any difference to OP. You'd be better off with a 4 Max if you really want 4".
The hollow grind makes the AD-10 cut far better than it has any right to. I'd try to find a first run, they still pop up in the forums and on eBay.Thanks. I think the flat grind would be fine, but I kind of wish I had ordered a hollow ground one when I had the chance. I plan on buying a triad lock knife this year but haven't decided which one. Not sure if I want slim and easy carry or crazy overbuilt. Ad10 looks awesome, but lots of good choices.

The bad primary bevel is driving me nuts. When I put my AD10 on my WE Pro to reprofile to 17 degrees per side after some serious grinding for a while I noticed one of the secondary bevels was 200% wider than the other. In order to fix the look of the knife I have to set one of the angles to 15 degrees and the other to 30 degrees. This make me sick and I have missed the 30 day return window with AMAZON. Does anyone know if Cold Steel would be of any help?Only a couple small qualms, mine had a really uneven grind. I've got 5 CS knives and this one had the worse edge grind of any. Once re-profiled the edge is twice as wide on one side than the other but really it doesn't bother me”
Doubt it. Especially if you already tried to reprofile it.The bad primary bevel is driving me nuts. Yeah, I have read countless issues on CS bad grinds. I suspect they would deny accountability from every angle possible and it would probably frustrate me to no end by communicating with them for a resolution that is satisfying for me.Doubt it. Especially if you already tried to reprofile it.
You didn't notice the grind being as bad as you say before you started sharpening?Yeah, I have read countless issues on CS bad grinds.
