Got my AD 10 in the mail today, great knife, really happy with it. I ordered this last Monday and paid $143, now I see the price is $180 ! Why the price increase?

I see you got it from knife center because the link says 143 but when I clicked on it it said 180. It is a great knife. The prices of all knives increase every now and then, especially if the distributor raises he map or they had to order more at a higher price than before. I still see another store that has it around 149, so they probably have stock left at the older price, but a 30 to 40 dollar jump is kinda crazy

Weird that they just adjusted the price basically in between runs of the knife.

For what it's worth, I think the knife is worth $180, but I loved picking mine up at $150. So far this knife looks like the knife of the year for me.

That is pretty crazy! Glad that I had already got one.

But, it is worth $180, though. A lot more knife than many others that are priced even higher.

It appears that the AD-15 is also going up based on a couple of sites that I have seen.

I just snagged the last ad-15 at knifeworks. I see other places have gone up by about $50 already so I had to get one while I could! Already have the 10 which is awesome especially at the $140 I paid.

I like the looks of the AD10 and can buy one from KW for $134 (including a 5% discount) but it weighs too much (6.8 oz according to the specs) and seems too bulky when compared w/the Code4 that I already have which costs 1/2 as much and weighs only 4.3oz w/the same length/steel (3.5"/S35VN) blade. So, the Code4 is good enough for me.

DD182D17-D7B6-4CD0-BEFF-B1D3B8A37B12.jpeg The AD10 has been my edc since I received it March 10th. I’ve tried to use it for everything from cutting fruit to breaking down cardboard.
The handle is extremely comfortable, in all grips. It’s perfect for my hands. The lock is very smooth, easy to disengage. This knife has been great for me. I recommend it to anyone.

I was worried about the clip being uncomfortable, but in my workpants (dickies) the clip is actually comfortable and somewhat easy to use.
I’ve used my sharp maker to keep up the edge.

i have the ad15 which i love and i recommend to everyone, its such a cool looking knife. i just ordered the ad10 but im wondering if i really need it if i already have a cold steel ultimate hunter, they seem very similar.

btw, ive bought quite a few cold steels lately, and i just have to say much to my surprise that the tanto golden eye has been my favorite one. i think its super underrated. you can find them for under $100 and they are s35vn and light weight so they make for a great edc

Ive been carrying my ad10 and ad15 almost exclusively since I first got them in Febuary. Now I have about 70 other folders collecting dust .Theres something about these 2 knives that I just find to be perfect to carry.

I have the same question. I ve been tempted to get an AD10, but I ve got an Ultimate Hunter and a back up, and the knives seem very much alike in size and blade shape. But the Ultimate Hunter is quite a bit lighter, and seems strong as a mule. For my use with outdoor work, I don t need a knife any stronger than the UH. Maybe if there was a version of the AD10 that s 1 1/2 oz lighter with a blade 1/2 inch longer. But then it would have to compete with my Recon1 s.
The problem with Cold Steel is they already have a number of strong, well made, ergonomic knives that are hard to beat (impossible to beat for the price).

Reviews have been positive and ive been tempted to buy both the ad10
But mainly the ad15 however the hefty weights have detered me away. (Really dig the ad15 lock).

I had the UH too. The AD-10 is so much more comfortable in hand, and I prefer the blade on the 10. I ended up selling my UH once I got the 10.
