Contrary to its name, the Orthodox from Artisan Cutlery is anything but standard. Like something out of Sweeney Todd’s barber shop, it sports a long, straight edge that offers maximum control when slicing. The blade will hold up over time, too, as it’s made from one of the top steels on the market in S35VN. The handle, is slim and simple. Machined from titanium, it’s sturdy and relatively lightweight. The mechanism used to open the knife is the flipper tab, which deploys the blade with little effort. A tip-up clip—also made from titanium—sits on the right side for tip-up carry.
