Cold Steel AK-47 as an EDC?

Hey man, dont go with the ak-47... it is annoying to close as the back-lock sticks a bit... i dont know if this is just mine (NIB) or if its all of them... also its very hard to flick out, well its possible but feels awkward to try to do....

it is sharp, and erganomic, but a cheap looking black finish in black, (painted)...

i regret buying it and i never used it because once i saw it and handled it, it wasn't for me.. now im looking to get rid of it, but anyway thats just my opinion on it..

go with the mchenry and williams BM 710, its $150 (a lil more then u'd like to spend on it) but trust me... it is BEAST!... i LOVE mine... d2 steel which is better then the AUS-8 of the ak... also an axis lock which makes the opening and closing smooth as anything :)

Also, it has a larger blade, but not as bulky.. and not as thretening in public... ALSO it has some nice blade re-curve which slices nicely!

Already ordered the mini AK-47. I want to give Cold Steel a try because I already have a Benchmade. I never flip my knife open at work anyways, and that's where I do most of my cutting tasks. Admittedly it looks threatening, but its fine because I know most of the customers, and I don't look threatening opening boxes. The black painted finish is fine by me, I think it'll look awesome as it wears off. And yes, $150 is much more than I want to spend, I got the mini AK for $55 shipped. I have a Boker with AUS-8 steel and its fine for me. And if you paid attention to anything I said in my original post, you'd know that the 710 is illegal to carry for me.

The AK-47 can be waved open, which is about the fastest & easiest way to open a folder. I dont have any problems thumbing it open, when I use that method to employ it. Ive got the full sized model, and bet you'll like your new Mini-AK - - -
