What other brands? According to many of the members of this site, we die-hard Cold Steel fans are just blind loyalists who wouldn't recognize a quality knife if someone gave it to us!

But, since you asked, I guess I can pretend like I enjoy other knives besides Cold Steel. With the exception of the fixed blades, all of these knives come from my regular carry rotation.

I've got the Hissatsu as well, a very cool knife. I also have the 5" Sog Pentagon folder which I think is Sog's best folder ever.

Busse, Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard were my go to fixed blades for over a decade.

Other folders I buy are GEC, and user Spyderco.

Lately it has been custom fixed blades and GEC...
Usually with a CS folder in the mix..
