Cold Steel Black Rhino

Thanks for the info, I had gotten one of the Rhino's few weeks back, they are nicely built and rock solid for sure. Can't wait to see your video Ank.

Just ordered a Rajah I also . Will go nicely with the Lg Espada and Rhino I have now. People who don't know about CS and there Tri-Ad lock really owe it to themselves to take a look, they are the toughest and strongest you will find in any folder, period.

Been thinking about talking to STR about a lowrider clip for the Rhino also.

Thanks again, get that video going also Ank, can't wait!!

Interested to see your tests Jim. I also got one, trying to decide whether to keep it or not, I really like the design but its a bit more bling than I'm used to. :D

This thing is a beast...

Can't wait to do my field test Video on it, it's raining today.....

My Rajah 1 is also coming.

The Recon 1 has G10 Handles while the New Voyager has a Grivory
handle with liners.

The Recon 1 blade is AUS8A

The Voyager Blade is VG-1 San Mai III.

How much better do you like VG-1 over AUS8? Or do you?

Here is the Video. :)

What is the best way to contact Demko? I'd like him to make a large Espada brought down to a 4.5" blade from thicker stock with the wavable thumbplate. Ti liners (.09") and smooth black G10 with Ti bolsters.

Sent you a PM. :)

I used a circular hand movement with a rough grit sandpaper to take out the bling on mine. No bling then this folder is truly a tank :)

He'll do it! He said approx 4 months. This will mean scrapping my Reese idea for a Buck 110 on steroids. I like this idea much better.

Remove the clip, remove the scales, lightly rub some scotchbrite over all of the shiny aluminum on the frame to give it a satin like finish, including the clip. Re-install scales and clip using some blue loctite. Scotchbrite I use is the green stuff on the back of the yellow sponges available at most grocery stores. I keep a pack of them in my toolbox in the garage.

Voilla, less bling! The 7075 T6 aluminum will scratch anyhow, so go ahead and pre-scratch the stuff. I have done this on all of my C.S. knives that come in this particular style. I do not find it detracts from the appearance one bit. Actually helps since minor scratches will be less obvious.

Note: The Rajah I comes with the aluminum parts dull, rather than shiny.

I'm watching your you-tube vid right now on my phone.
It looks like it would take a good beating!
Good job!

STR, Ankerson, what kind of time are ya'll looking at before getting the Demko Custom's? Just curious. We may have to form a Demko Tri-Ad fan club!:D
