Cold Steel Bolo Machete.

Been looking for a cheap tree-beater. Mostly looking at a Martindale Golok. Kind of liked the look of the Cold Steel Bolo, but the handle was too bulky. My question: Can the plastic handle be re-profiled/sanded?

It can be to a degree. I have thinned the handle of my heavy to a point where it works for me- but I would not do any drastic changes to the handle.
