Cold Steel Broken Skull - thickness comparisons

What is the thickness? I have a thin Buck 560 in titanium. Pretty thin knife. Looks like about 7/16

....yes...for longer periods of heavy cuts the handle is too thin for me as well. The flat ground blade however, is a VERY efficient cutter. I'm thinking of using this knife for lawn and garden duty, and it should excel.

Yeah such a thin knife is definitely not the best candidate for long heady cutting task. For that a Recon 1/Ultimate hunter may be a better choice. It's a trade off for being so thin and light, thus easier to carry.

Exactly how I've been using mine. Got what appeared to be a tiny, tiny--so small I could feel it but not see it except with a loupe--roll in the edge after hacking at a woody briar, but a ceramic rod fixed it right up.
 
Imagine what it would do to Steve Austin if a crime was committed with this blade. Broken Skull billboard PLUS his very name on it.

Everything is a tradeoff. If you want a super thin, lightweight handle, ergonomics will have to suffer a little bit. You can still make the knife comfortable and highly ergonomic, but never as good as a knife with a fat handle like the Voyager. One of the best knife handles for me is the Cold Steel Leatherneck's.
 
I finally handled and bought s Broken Skull yesterday. It really reminded me of classic Spydercos since it was thin and light. After being in love with heavy ZTs and other titanium flippers for the past few years, the Broken Skull reminded me just how nice a thin and light knife can be.
 
For me cold steel has now become the standard that all lockbacks are compared too. The broken skull puts cold steel in position to take on a lot more competition.
