COLD STEEL BROOKLYN BAT VIDEO

Needs more carnage, strength tests, durability tests, and freakin’ demolishing bricks and hollow blocks. The cool thing about the cheesy old Cold Steel videos is that the products did most of the “talking.”

I see no need in the world for this one....
Me neither !

I have several different models of their plastic canes . OK for the prices I paid .

They are very tough and not prone to water or other environmental damage . A bit heavy for one hand weapon use .

They are functional as "medical appliances" and so can be legally carried most places , if you look the part and don't act stupid aggressive .

Unless you're actually playing a lot of baseball with them , these CS " bats" are just club weapons and will be viewed as such . :(

Even though I probably won't buy one, I see some uses for these products.

When they were first introduced Lynn Thompson did say that they'd be good unbreakable bats for kids.

They could probably be kept for defense in college dorms which usually ban weapons.

They could possibly be used as training weapons in schools which might teach how to defend against "street weapons." Either Red Gun or Blue Gun makes solid plastic radios and flashlights as training tools.

I don't think cops would see them, especially the smaller ones, as non-weapons, especially if they are labeled.

It could also be good for home defense is you play baseball. I don't so I'm better off with the CS suburito as a blunt weapon since I can also train with it. It is actually better than the suburito I saw at a local Karate store years ago. I asked why it was so light (these are meant to be heavy for conditioning) and the guy said that this was because too many people complained that they were too heavy. 😀

I remember a photo of a couple of mounted police , equipped with CS PP Bokken to use as riot batons from horseback .

Here's how you should do a CS video , by the way :

Is there a chance that die hard CS fans are a small, hard to please group of people, and GSM's new marketing strategies will actually move way more "units?"

I don't think having expectations of quality and wanting responsive service is being hard to please.
The company built a fan base on the products they produced or had produced.
Is it asking too much to want the brand to at least stay at previous levels of quality and performance?
I don't think it is.
