I am selling a Cold Steel SRK that I have customized.
My thinking was as follows:
This is an older, unused SRK in Carbon V with a very good heat treat. But the saber grind was low, making an obtuse cutting angle, and the black coating covered up some pretty rough grinding.
So I removed the handle, reground the blade with a very high flat/convex combination grind. It is actually pretty close to a true convex since I finished it on a Beaumont Rotary Platen. The edge geometry is now very good, IMHO. I also ground the clip so that it is clean and makes the point, well, pointy, and dropped the choil for ease of full sharpening. I then fitted a guard in 416 stainless, and added an octagonal handle in African blackwood with a matching 416 stainless pin.
You can see that this is still a user, but with some nice custom accents. The sheath is the Cold Steel original and still fits fine.
First $100 takes it, and I handle shipping CONUS and PayPal fees.

Sorry about my poor computer skills. I had trouble attaching thumbnails, but photos are available at photobucket.
