Cold Steel CTS-XHP Blades Real World Usage

That s a relief.
I wonder if Cold Steel has broken all ties with the xhp cts manufacturer.

If memory serves correctly, it came down to supply challenges as the difficulty of getting CTS-XHP for the whole line was getting very difficult. I guess S35VN is a little easier to get. Differences should be minimal.

I have seen a few knives looking like they will use AUS-10, which I haven't seen on many knives anywhere, but have heard about. Should be a nice steel option as well.

I believe the company that makes said steel no longer wants to use the steel for knives. Because it's not easy to keep up with and it's more profitable for other uses.

Very interesting.
With Cold Steel s heat treatment, their xhp has been a great steel for folders.

I use Aus8 for the "Beaters", my one xhp rides in my pocket, Code 4 I got just as they were selling out, for the "just in case" that seems to happen to me a lot. My Recon 1 S35VN rides in the vest coat pocket for the "just in case" also, a few more will be going in packs as the back up folder of choice.
