Cold Steel Espada Endurance Test

I'll be buying one next month... the 5.5" large model and an American Lawman.

I've got both the Large Espada and the Rajah II - great knives with an incredible lock. While I have not subjected the Espada to any hard use yet, we've had a bunch of strong winds come through here, creating a lot of yard waste (downed tree limbs), and the Rajah has gotten a workout! Very impressed!! Now waiting for the XL Espadas to be released (March). I'll be doing a Gun & Knife Show in Lexington, KY (Heritage Hall) this weekend, if anyone wants to stop by and check out the Espada or the Rajah in person.

I'm just hoping the XL doesn't turn out to be Vapourware :( I just keep seeing the release date being pushed out and out.

Talked with CS a couple days ago and was told they are still on target for March delivery of the XL Espada.

The CS medium Espada (3 1/2 " blade) is an excellent knife. I wish it had the same thumb disk as the larger ones.
Demko has designed a real winner with these.

On anther note these knives are made in Taiwan. I have to concede after seeing the the medium Espada inside and out as well as other Taiwanese CS knives that Taiwan is now one of the few places where top quality cutlery can be, and is manufactured as the fit and finish on these are top notch.

The Espada happens to be beautiful as well.

The only thing they are missing is lanyard attachment points. I have found a solution that still maintains the strength of the design.

I can do the same for yours, if you'd like.
