Cold Steel Espada XL G10 issues?

I also noticed something about the L and XL Espada. When hammer gripped in the forward position, even with a gentle grip some pressure is transmitted to the lockbar and the blade has more play. Haven't noticed that with other Tri-Ad designs.

That is kinda scary. Have these ever been made in Japan?
Why are you the only other person that notices this? My xl g10 espada makes an obvious rattle when I hammer grip exactly like you mentioned. To attempt resolving this I've been sanding the spine of my lockbar down little by little to take pressure off the lock bar when gripping it.
I have some results so far but nothing much of a significant improvement.
I also sent my first espada back to knifecenter and got a replacement to discover it also had a rattle in the forward hammer grip. I told this to cold steel, mailed the knife in to them with a detailed description, they said its fine and sent the knife back with just tighter screws. Also Knifecenter's explanation for the blade play was because the blade was too large. But we know our cold steel tri ads don't have any..
I'm dont know if I should keep bringing this knife around or to junk it but thats just wrong lol.

If your palm is actuating the bar, you could look into grinding the finger choil or choils one way or the other to move your hand. It might not take much at all. then again it may end up totally SNAFU'D.
