Cold steel Finn Bear and Canadian belt knife

For 10 bucks, I like my Finn Bear. Hell, I bought two.

But truth be told, for the same price get a Mora.

I have the Canadian. Does the job for a 10 buck blade. CS opinions aside, I like mine. I did have to rework it on a Sharpmaker to get it just right.

I've got a Canadian Belt Knife, and I like it, too. I took a file to the jimping as it was a little sharp. The Krupp steel seems to hold up decently for me; comparable to my Moras. I like the feel of it, and how it handles.

I like a lot of CS products but I would take a mora 780 over either of those and still have spent the same amount.

I like the shape of the Finn Bear better than the Canadian belt knife. I bought a Finn Bear and I like it. Nothing wrong with the blade. I think that while the sheath isn't the best type in the world, it is better than some of the standard sheaths that Moras and their equivalents come in.

The fine ridges on the handle of the Finn Bear are the thing I like least. They will help to hold dirt, and they make a raspy noise as you pull the knife from the sheath.

Good value for money, and if you lose it or give it away it isn't a huge loss.

I bought the Canadian belt knife and liked it so much that I ordered another. I have a couple of the original Canadian Belt Knives, Russel/Grohmann. I wanted to compare the CS ones. The price is sure right.

The Finn Bear was my go to blade at camping last year. Worked great. adjust the edge to your preference. The Canadian has been my kithcen knife and it has filleted and boned food and veggies fine..

I actually like the handle texture on the Bear as it seems to aid in grip, esp. with its handle shape. Once I dressed the back of the blade up a little it also threw sparks fine.
