Cold Steel Finn Wolff, who's got one?

Any idea of the edge/grind angle?

Angle = super sharp! lol...

Joke aside, i dont think angle is quite relevant in this case though since Finn Wolf has scandi edge vs something that has a secondary edge like most other production knife. You will really have to grind off the entire blade if you want to change the angle.

For me, i will sharpen it on a strop/sandpaper until it eventually become convex edge.

Laying the flats of the blade flat on a countertop and using my old analog angle finder, I get 9* on one side and 10* on the other. Leaving a margin for error, let's call it ~20* included.

That's the kind of information I was looking for. I'm interested in knives used with edge angles of less than 15°/side.

Got mine in today. The grind appears to be a true scandi and not hollow. The grind is also highly polished, much more so than any Mora I have ever gotten. Its also sharper than any Mora I have ever gotten out of the box. It is by far the sharpest knife I have ever gotten from any manufacturer. The blade shape has a nice belly that will no doubt be a great slicer. The edge also runs right to the handle so it will likely be good for detail work as well.

The handle is nothing special. It is at least, thus far, somewhat ergonomic and I did not notice any obvious pinch points in my grip. The lockup is super tight when the blade is opened. No play in the blade at all. Unlocking the blade the lock is a little sticky, but I imagine that will wear in a little with time.

The thumb stud opens the blade reliably, but the blade does not fly open on its own after a little nudge, your thumb has to follow it out the entire the way. No big deal as its not a defensive knife as far as I am concerned. The pivot screw does not appear to be overly tightened, the backspring is a real monster. This little knife closes with a finger amputating thud, and takes considerable effort to overcome the backspacing when opening.

Pocket clip is short, tight, and definitely not a deep pocket carry clip. I haven't left the house with it yet, but just my first impression is that it will be functional although a good bit of the knife will be visible above the pocket.

Overall I am pleased for the price. I had no intention of this knife replacing my normal daily carry. This was intended to be a folding backup to my normal Mora that I carry when I head out of the city limits. Something in between my multitool and my fixed blade, and for that I think it will be perfect.

Once again, and I cannot stress this enough, this knife is just stupid sharp. I literally push cut an S shape in magazine print paper when I got it. Usually a knife takes me a couple of hours or more of work to get it that sharp from the manufacturer, or some knives I own never get that sharp.

Whether or not it hold that edge for more than 1 second of cutting I don't know yet. I'll keep you posted. If the edge geometry and the steel can hold that edge through normal cutting tasks I will be extremely pleased with this knife.

I will try to get a picture up this evening, and hopefully I will have a few things to cut with it by then also.

Just got mine. Its much smaller than i thought by the dimensions. Kinda awkward to open. Not sure of how strong the triad is going to be with the plastic back spacer. All that aside heck of a nice knife for the price. Hoping for an xl version with 4"+ blade.

I'm not super concerned about the lock but I agree about the size, particularly the thinness of the handle. I wish it filled up the hand a bit more. The thumb stud seems a bit close to the handle too, it takes a while to get used to opening it. Still a great value though.

They are inexpensive enough that I'm not putting any big expectations on it. And, I have yet to be disappointed by any Cold Steel product. I have one coming in.

Feels slightly smallish in an XL hand. A few pics for size reference. Just got it and no time to play today. Feels like a typical solid Cold Steel product. For what little I paid for this knife I am quite satisfied. My intentions are to use it within reason as a small/light folder for feather sticks. I'll use a hatchet for hatchet work.

Got one today. You guys weren't kidding. It's not just sharp, it's HOLY CRAP sharp!

I got to use it on a length of two years dried local Choke Cherry. This is considered a "hard" hardwood. I found zero edge damage on my knife. I am self taught with computers and not very good with uploading videos, but this shows that my F.W. tosses great fero sparks off the spine straight from the factory. I consider this little folder a useful tool for my fire starting etc. needs, if I chose to take it along. The video was shot in the dark and starts out that way.

I meant to say spine, instead of edge during the fero rod use.
