+1 for sureThis has been happening more frequently. Usually it takes a few days then they are up and running again. If however they decide to not reopen the forum for whatever reason, I will certainly miss it.
Was wondering the same thing. So little activity recently it wouldn't surprise me. But there is a lot of great info there, so would be nice if it could still be accessed like an archive, even if new posts weren't allowed.
After the first time it went down I made sure I saved all of that great information(most of it yours) just in case. Its still down, not looking good.
I agree that information would be great to be able to check on the history of the different models of the past. I use to go there and read info on the Master Tanto's. I have two now Thank You Mr. Lauffer. for all your work you have done on them.I'm very glad that you did this, nephron! Mr. Lauffer's research and hard work on those model histories needs to be preserved.
John, is there any way that you could re-post your histories here, as well? Like everyone else, I'm hoping that the Cold Steel Forums are just under rennovation and will be restored soon. But the low traffic levels and frequent outages don't scream "longevity."

Yes, where is the CS Moderator?
hopefully he'll see my direct link to him......and to this thread....Yes, where is the CS Moderator?
Yes, a tremendous amount of info down the drain. I hope they archive it all and attach it to their official site, but I'm not holding my breath for that. I did save some useful pages to my computer. That's a shame. There was a lot of useful/interesting info on that site. They could (at the very least) keep it up as an archive.
