Maybe its just me but this image is somewhat offensive...

i'm curious, why do YOU find it offensive? are YOU an Arab? are your wife or children Arab? if not, than i think you're being silly. i've always thought it was ridiculous the way people will get offended on someonelse's behalf. if it's not directed at you, then you are hyper sensitve for finding a problem with it.

if you are an Arab and it does bother you, don't buy their knives. i'm not Arab, it doesn't offend me. out of curiousity, i'm emailing a link to this thread to a good Saudi friend of mine and asking him if he would still buy a knife from CS

I love Cold Steel knives, for the most part, but the ad doesn't do anything for me. Actually, Lynn Thompson riding on a bike with a drawn (no pun intended) knife actually would look more ridiculous had it been a photograph. Naturally, the ad doesn't make me want to either bike or buy a Cold Steel knife, so I think it's ad money poorly spent.

I'm not going to shed any crocodile tears over the Arabs. Sorry.

Me neither.

I don't find this offensive. A bit silly, perhaps, but it's an editorial cartoon, just like every other editorial cartoon. And even if you did take this seriously, what is offensive about it? It would be more realistic if it had a Mexican or Canadian, but it's not saying, "Let's burn the Koran, call Muhammed a pig, and kill all of you ragheads." It's just saying, "You guys have a bunch of oil, and you want American money." Which is true.

Im not Arab, im just saying, i find it a little weird from a professional company.
