Can anyone tell me about this knife? Has anyone reviewed it our used it. Just looking for a review of the pros and cons of the knife.

Mike:confused:

I have this knife, the 4 inch blade model, it's pretty good.

Pros:
Really sharp, really sturdy, lockback (personal preference).

Cons:
A bit tricky to sharpen the front tip, you need a special sharpener for the serrations used, a bit on the big side.

I would say it's good if the price is good.

It depends on what you are looking for in a knife. I carried the GS 5 inch as my duty knife in the past for 3 years and it did not fail me once. Big sturdy an inexpensive! Not a bad knife in terms of price and performance at all!

I have one and like the design as a whole. It came very sharp and the tanto blade shape is surprisingly versatile. I also really like the size of the blade and handle. My two main gripes with it are the lack of a defined front finger guard and the difficulty I had sharpening the knife. My sharpening problem, though, is most likely due to a lack of skill on my part. All things considered, it is a good knife if you can get it for less than retail price.

I have the 4" Gunsite II. Nice, sharp knife. Fun to play around with. My only complaint is cosmetic-- the black gunsite logo has started to wear off in places. I should have gotten a Voyager-- it's basically the same knife.

Don't sharpen the serrations. Since they are only cut into one side, steel the back side which will restore them pretty well by straightening them up.

I have the 4" which is my EDC. Excellent, no complaints. Slim in your pocket and good blade size and shape.

Look for reviews of the CS Voyageur. The Gunsite knives are voyagers with the Gunsite logo etched on the blade. There is nothing else different about them.
