Cold Steel is stepping it up with XHP

wish they'd bring back the original voyager with stainless steel liners and either xhp or s30v blade. that'll be great!

I wonder if everyone will suddenly be able to forgive the marketing which is generally sited as the reason people don't buy them...

Cold Steel does not make a folder that appeals to me, but I do have to give them a thumbs up for going with better steel, and a better finished knife. :D

Only cold steel I bought was a gift for my sister ( SRK in San Mai III) just over a year ago and that thing went through the hell and came back out on top.

Might try a Code 4 clip or spear point in XHP.

There has never been a Cold Steel Voyager with stainless steel liners.

The first generation were one piece molded handles which probably makes liners impossible and, while they were very light, they weren't as strong as the modern version. The modern one is Grivory with aluminium liners and is as strong as anything else in Cold Steel's range. They're being redone in BD1 steel in order to maintain their position as Cold Steel's price leading big knife range.

If you want XHP just grab a Recon 1.

I've had a Spyderco Manix 2 in CTS-XHP for almost a year now, and it is by far my favorite steel. Phenomenal. If Cold Steel's is anything like my Spydie, I'll probably buy one.
