did anyone buy a cold steel tomahawk and add the langettes to it? (ie trail hawk , riflemans hawk , frontier hawk , etc)

When I bought my Rifleman's Hawk at the beginning of 1994, the langets did not exist.

I bought a CS battle axe in 2000, but didn't use the langets because the head was so poorly made there was no point.

I do have them on my War Hammer though.

I found the old langets and sanded the black paint off of them. Now they are sitting outside to see what sort of patina Mother Nature can provide.

I'm gonna Order a couple of 30" Hawk Handle's from Cold Steel and they also sell the Langette Set's and I was considering buying a set for my Rifleman's Hawk, I was just wondering how they are or "The Best Way" to attach them to the Handle ?

i put them on a circa 2000 frontier hawk. it changed the feel of the hawk to much for what i wanted so i removed them.

on a side note the frontier hawk's handle would not fit the eye of an early 90's plainsman hawk. i don't know if they changed the eye or what between these to hawks over the years but it would take some work to get the newer handles to fit the old plainsman:(

i just recieved 2 frontier hawks , a riflemans hawk and trail hawk , all with VERY bent bits.

when i actually ordered a frontier hawk , two trail hawks and a riflemans hawk. they are all going back to the supplier. the frontier hawks had the heads on soo loose i could`ve just pulled em off
